Professional
Jean has had a prolific 20 year career built around one common theme: Technology in service to Products, Processes and People.
Jean has built four businesses around developing unique products assisting companies reach their goals with technology:
General IT services (ensigna.com – sold in 2000),
Mobile middleware (Eurekium Innovations – sold in 2004),
Knowledge management (BrainPen – sold in 2006)
and Triple-bottom line ERP and real-time monitoring (Nessbees Group and HBT Management). see www.delivertrust.com
Through his consulting practice, Jean has assisted businesses in their use of all forms of web-related technologies to engage consumers, find new revenues, increase existing revenues, cut costs, optimize internal processes, manage projects and develop performing digital products. He has advised large recognizable brand names and niche small businesses alike, spanned across a variety of industries such as retail, automotive, media, services, and non-profits. His mandates have brought him to work in North America, Europe and Asia. During his extensive practice, Jean has developed a methodology called the Integrated Strategy Model to consolidate all the elements of strategic planning, business planning, marketing planning and project management planning together.
He is currently VP Technology at Xprima Corp (Evolio/Auto123.com) www.xprima.com, responsible for developing the systems and the data collected and consumed by the extensive automotive market he serves. He also founded and currently leads the first and largest data-as-a-service marketplace called V10Data, starting with the automotive market and branching out into many other industries. www.v10data.com
He has managed over 250 people, and has made enough mistakes to know which ones not to repeat.
Social involvement
Jean was a very involved and active member of the exclusive YEO (Entrepreneurs Organization) on the local, national and international board for over 9 years. He sat on the International Benefits Committee and led the Technology Advisory Committee where he oversaw the development of a 25 000+ internet peer to peer network.
As well, Jean donates his time and expertise to non-profit organisations, organizing and presiding national debating competitions, judging business case competitions, mentoring startups and regularly hosting a group of young people at church.
Public Speaking
Jean is a regular speaker at tech and startup conventions. He also recreated and now lectures what became the acclaimed Technology Entrepreneurship course at the Bachelors and Master's level at L’École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. As well, he is an award-winning member of the Toastmaster’s Organization, and he aspires to become a Professional Speaker.
Distinctions
Since 1998, Jean has received over a dozen entrepreneurship, technology or leadership awards. At just 28 years old, he was selected as one of 225 participants / future leaders of Canada in the 2004 Governor General Leadership Convention.
He has proven to be a strategic, experienced and results-oriented leader, a relationship-builder, always exceeding goals and objectives, able to make the tough decisions, solve problems and drive consensus.
